Yields: 10 People
Ingredients:
1 lb Ziti Pasta
1 lb Italian Sausage (Can use hamburger or ground turkey)
2 (24 oz) Jars of Spaghetti Sauce
1 1/2 Cups Cottage Cheese (You can blend in a blender for a smoother consistency)
1 Cup of Cream Cheese (Softened)
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
3 Cups of Shredded Cheese (Mozzarella or Cheddar)
2 Eggs
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1 Finely Chopped Onion
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 baking pan.
Cook your noodles according to the box directions - but do not cook them all the way. Cook them al dente. (You want them a little undercooked. When they bake in the oven they will cook more.)
In a large skillet, brown your Italian sausage. Once browned add onion and minced garlic and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Next, add your spaghetti sauce to the pan.
In a large bowl - mix together your cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, and 1 cup of cheese.
Add your cheese mixture and noodles into your pan with the sauce mixture. Stir until evenly combined.
Pour your pasta mixture into your baking dish and top with the remaining 2 cups of cheese.
Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes.
