The reason I call this recipe, "almost homemade," is because it is homemade except the tomatoes. Not all of us have time to blend tomatoes up. I will be honest I am a huge fan of using a jar of some type of spaghetti sauce, but it doesn't taste the freshest. This way is fast, easy, and it tastes fresh!
Ingredients:
1lb of Spaghetti
2 lbs Ground Italian Sausage
1 Chopped Onion
1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
32 oz of Tomato Sauce
2 (6oz) Cans of Tomato Paste
1 1/2 Cups of Water
3 Teaspoons Dried Basil
2 Teaspoons Dried Parsely
2 1/2 Teaspoons of Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon of Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 Teaspoon of Pepper
1/4 Cup of Beef Broth

Instructions:
In a large pot, brown the Italian sausage and onions together until sausage is cooked through.
Then add tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, parsley, brown sugar, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic, beef broth, and water.
Stir once all of the ingredients are mixed together. Cover pot and let simmer on low for 15 minutes. Stir every couple of minutes.
While sauce is cooking. Boil water and then add your noodles. Cook your noodles until they are soft. Once the noodles are done strain out the water.
Spoon the sauce over the noodles when plated. You can add parmesan or more red pepper flakes at this time.
Enjoy!
