Love the flavors of a Big Mac but want it fresh and salad-friendly? This Big Mac-inspired salad hits all the notes. Crunchy lettuce, savory seasoned meat, tangy pickles, and creamy “Mac Sauce.” Perfect for a healthy lunch or casual dinner!
Servings: 4–6
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Ingredients:
Salad:
1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 head romaine lettuce, chopped (or use your favorite lettuce blend)
1 lb ground turkey or lean ground beef
1/2 red onion, chopped
10–12 cherry tomatoes, halved
Pickles of your choice, sliced (bread & butter or dill)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Mac Sauce (Dressing):
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp relish
Instructions:
Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey or beef. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, or Lowry’s seasoned salt. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
Prep the Veggies: Chop lettuce and onion. Halve cherry tomatoes and slice pickles.
Combine the Salad: In a large bowl, mix lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, shredded cheddar, and cooked meat.
Make the Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, and relish until smooth.
Dress the Salad: Pour the Mac Sauce over the salad and toss until everything is evenly coated.
Serve: Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate for 15–30 minutes for the flavors to come together.
