If you like hamburger helper, you will like this recipe. It tastes like hamburger helper, without all the preservatives. I had all the ingredients at home to make this, which made supper really easy. The other good thing about this recipe is you only need one pan. So fewer dishes! Who doesn't like that?!
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Dry Cavatappi Noodles
1lb of Ground Beef
1 1/2 Cups of Milk
2 Cups of Hot Water
1 Tablespoon of Minced Onion (Optional)
2 Tablespoons of Ketchup
2 Cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Teaspoon of Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Garlic Powder
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Onion Powder
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Salt
1/2 Teaspoons of Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon of Cornstarch
1 Tablespoon of Paprika

Instructions:
In a large pot brown your hamburger with the minced onion. After you brown the hamburger, make sure you drain out the liquid.
Add paprika, cornstarch, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, sugar, and ketchup to the meat. Mix around until the meat is covered with the seasonings and ketchup.
Next add the hot water, milk, and dry noodles. Mix and then let the mixture come to a boil.
As soon as the mixture is boiling, turn to simmer and cover for 8-10 minutes. Continue to stir periodically until the noodles are cooked through.
After the noodles are cooked through, uncover the pot and add the cheese. Stir in the cheese until it is all melted.
Serve right away, and garnish with parsley. To add some heat you can add some red pepper flakes.
