Ingredients:

  • 2 cups egg noodles

  • 2–3 chicken breasts (or 1–2 cans of cooked chicken)

  • 8 oz diced ham

  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup

  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (or shred from a block for best flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon parsley

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Buttered crackers or bread crumbs (Italian bread crumbs recommended)

Instructions:

Preheat oven: Set to 400°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Cook noodles: Prepare egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Cook chicken & ham:

  • If using fresh chicken, cook over medium heat until fully cooked; season with salt and pepper.

  • Add diced ham to the pan and cook 1–2 minutes until warmed through.

Combine casserole ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, mix the cooked noodles, chicken, ham, cream of chicken soup, shredded Swiss cheese, parsley, and a dash of salt and pepper.

Assemble the casserole:

  • Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.

  • Top with buttered crackers or bread crumbs for a golden, crispy topping.

Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

Serve & enjoy: Let it cool slightly before serving. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or family gathering!
