Creamy Ham and Potato Soup

Ingredients:


4 1/2 Cups of Water

2 Tablespoons of Chicken Bouillon

1/2 Cup of Diced Celery

1 Cups of Cooked Diced Ham

3 Cups of Peeled and Diced Potatoes

1/2 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic

5 Tablespoons of Butter

5 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour

2 Cups of Milk

Salt & Pepper to Taste



Instructions;

Place your potatoes, celery, onion, ham, and water in a large soup pot. Bring the pot to a boil and then cook over medium heat until the potatoes are cooked through.


After the potatoes are cooked through stir in your chicken bouillon, salt, and pepper.


In a separate pan melt your butter. After the butter is melted slowly whisk in the flour. You want to stir constantly until the mixture is thick. Next, slowly add in your milk and mix until it's a thick roux. (Make sure there are no clumps.)


Next, add your roux mixture to your soup pot. Mix the roux in with your soup until the soup becomes creamy. Cook on low heat for an additional 5 minutes.
