With Thanksgiving approaching, this is the perfect dessert to bring to your family gathering! So much better than apple pie, in my opinion.
8 servings
1 hour cook time
Ingredients:
10 small apples (gala or granny smith usually work best)
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups + 1 tbsp flour
1/3 cup water
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups oats
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 350°
Peal/slice apples and place in a 9x13 pan.
In a medium bowl, mix 1 tbsp flour, cinnamon, and white sugar. Pour over apples and toss to coat.
Pour water on top, do not mix.
Combine rest of flour, brown sugar, oats, baking soda, powder, and melted butter. Mix well.
Cover the top of apples with oat mixture.
Bake at 350° for 45 mins.
Enjoy! - Jess
