One of my all-time favorite treats!
Ingredients:
1 (12 oz) Box Rice Chex
1 Cup of Peanut Butter
1 (12oz) Bag of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 Stick of Unsalted Butter
3/4 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
1 Bag of Powdered Sugar
Instructions:
Place the Chex in a large mixing bowl. Then set this bowl aside.
In a microwavable bowl melt the stick of butter for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. After the minute is up add your bag of chocolate chips and your peanut butter and stir the mixture. Continue to microwave the mixture and stir about every 45 seconds until the mixture is smooth and completely melted.
After the mixture is ready add your vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture over the Chex mix and stir carefully until the Chex are covered with the chocolate mixture.
For the next step, I used a large Tupperware container with a lid. Some people use gallon bags as well. Pour part of your Chex mixture into the container of your choosing and dump a good amount of powdered sugar over the Chex. Put the lid on the container or zip up your bag and shake. You want the powder to cover all of the chocolate mixtures. If you look and the powdered sugar turned more brown than white, add more powdered sugar. Then finish the rest of your mixture using the same steps.
