Skinny Chicken Parmesan Casserole

This is the simplest pasta recipe I have ever made. You need one pan to make this dish.

Ingredients:

1 Jar of Pasta Sauce (Your Choice of Brand)

1/2 Box of Bow-Tie Pasta (Uncooked)

1 Cup of Water

2 Cups of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1/2 Cup of Shaved Parmesan

1/2 Cup of Panko Italian Bread Crumbs

1 Tablespoon of Butter

1/4 Tsp of Dried Basil

1lb of Chicken Breast Tenders (1" Strips)

Red Pepper Flakes

1/4 Tsp Salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425 Degrees.

Spray a 9x13 glass pan with a non-stick cooking spray. In the baking dish add your bow-tie pasta, water, and pasta sauce. Mix in pasta to the sauce and water till completely combined.

Pat dry the chicken breasts. Sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes. Use as little or as many red pepper flakes as you would like. I used 1/4 tsp and it was a little spicy.

Lay the chicken breasts on top of the pasta mixture in a single layer.

Top chicken breasts with mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the basil on top of the cheese.

Cover the pan with tin foil and cook for 40-45 min. Making sure the chicken is fully cooked before serving.

In a bowl melt butter in the microwave. After the butter is melted add your bread crumbs to the bowl and mix until the bread crumbs are coated with butter.

Add the bread crumbs to the top of the casserole and then broil on high uncovered for about 2 minutes or until the bread crumbs are lightly browned.

Serve and Enjoy :)
