Ingredients:
1-2 lbs chicken breast
8 oz penne pasta
1 cup diced mushrooms
1/2 cup diced yellow or orange bell pepper
1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
3 tbsp butter
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp minced garlic
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste
Boil pasta according to box instructions.
While pasta is cooking, heat 2 tbsp butter in a pan over medium heat.
Season chicken breast with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and Cajun seasoning.
Cut up chicken breast and add to pan. Cook for 3-5 minutes until fully cooked through.
Remove chicken from pan & add remaining butter to pan. Then add mushrooms, peppers, & minced garlic.
Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Then add chicken broth, Worcestershire, heavy cream, and seasonings & bring to a light simmer.
Add Parmesan cheese, whisk to combine and let simmer another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
Turn off heat. Add the chicken & cooked pasta and stir to combine everything.
