Ingredients:
1 lb rotini noodles
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp Olive oil
1/4 cup white wine
1 small onion
16 oz mushrooms
28 oz crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp paprika
1 lb Italian sausage (optional)
Boil rotini noodles according to box instructions.
Chop up onion and mushrooms.
In a saucepan, heat up butter, olive oil, and onions for 2-3 minutes.
Add mushrooms and cooI for another 3-4 minutes.
Turn heat to high and add white wine. Let it bubble for a minute and then simmer.
Add crushed tomatoes, garlic, and seasonings. Stir for about 2 minutes over high heat.
Add heavy cream and let come to a simmer.
Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese, then add cooked rotini noodles and stir to combine everything.
***If you wish you add Italian sausage, you will just cook it in a pan by itself, drain the grease, and then add it along with the noodles.
