Ingredients:
3 lbs of Top Sirloin Steak Cubed
2 Tsps of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
2 Tbsp of Olive Oil
1 Onion Thinly Sliced
1 Heaping Tbsp of Minced Garlic
1 Cup of Unsalted Beef Broth
1 McCkormick Au Jus Gravy Packet
4 Tablespoons of Unsalted Butter (Thinly Sliced)
Parsley for Garnish
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
Instructions:
Throw your steak bites into a bowl and season them with salt and pepper.
Heat a large skillet pan over medium heat. Add half of your oil and sear the steak pieces in batches. Once seared add them to a 6-Quart Crockpot.
Once all your steak is seared and in the crockpot, add your onion and minced garlic. Toss them with the steak bites.
Pour the beef broth over the meat mixture. Sprinkle the au jus packet over the top. Then lay your sliced butter all over the top of the au jus seasoning.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours. Stir every couple of hours if you are able. (You do want to check the meat periodically to prevent over-cooking)
Once the meat is tender you can add one tablespoon of cornstarch to a bowl with 1 1/2 Tbsp of Water. Mix the slurry and then add that to the crockpot and mix. This should create a gravy with the liquid in the crockpot.
Serve this dish over mashed potatoes, butter noodles, or rice.
Top with parsley for garnish.
Enjoy :)
