Not Your Grandmas Chex Mix is full of bold flavors and irresistible crunch perfect for parties movie nights or anytime you need a snack that stands out.


Servings: 12–15 (depending on portion size)

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Mixing/Coating Time: 10 minutes

Optional Baking/Toasting Time: 15–20 minutes

Total Time: 20–30 minutes


Ingredients:


For Original Flavor:

½ cup canola oil

2 Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning

½ tsp dried dill weed

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder


For Spicy Flavor:

½ cup canola oil

2 Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning (Spicy)

½ tsp dried dill weed

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder


Suggested Chex Mix Base (feel free to mix and match):

Butterspindle pretzels

Cheese Bugles

Cheetos

White Cheddar Cheez-Its

Cheez-It Snap’d – Double Cheese

Cheez-It Snap’d – Zesty Cheddar Ranch

Cheez-It Grooves – Zesty Cheddar Ranch

Goldfish crackers

Corn Chex

Garlic Rye Chips


Instructions:

Pour all desired mix-ins (chips, cereals, crackers, pretzels, etc.) into a large roaster pan or sheet pan. If using a roaster pan, consider doubling the recipe.


In a glass measuring cup, whisk together the canola oil, ranch seasoning, dill, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.


Pour the seasoning mixture evenly over your Chex Mix base. Use a large spatula or wooden spoon to stir gently until everything is coated.


Spread the mix evenly in the pan and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to allow the coating to absorb, or bake at 250°F for 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway, for a slightly toasted crunch.


Allow the mix to cool completely. Transfer to airtight containers for storage. Keeps well for up to 2 weeks.
