Philly Cheesesteak Shells

6 servings 

40 min cook time 


Ingredients: 

1 lb ground beef 

1/2 lb small pasta shells 

2 bell peppers (can be any color) 

1/2 yellow onion 

32 oz beef broth + 32 oz water 

2 tbsp butter 

1/2 tsp garlic powder 

1/2 tsp onion powder 

1/4 tsp salt 

1/4 tsp pepper 

8 oz cream cheese 

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 

6 slices provolone cheese 


 

1. Preheat oven to 350°


2. Dice up the peppers and onions. 


3. Cook pasta according to box instructions in the water & beef broth. Once shells are done boiling, strain them but save 1/2 cup of the liquid. 


4. While shells are boiling, melt butter in a large skillet pan over medium heat. 


5. Add peppers and onions to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. 


6. Add beef & seasonings to pan and cook until meat is all browned up. 


7. Add softened cream cheese to pan and stir until fully melted and mixed. Then add the cooked shells, extra pasta liquid, and mozzarella cheese. 


8. Once everything is melted and evenly mixed, transfer mixture to a 9x13 baking dish. 


9. Top with slices of provolone cheese. 


10. Bake at 350° for 20-25 mins. 


11. Garnish with parsley flakes (optional) and enjoy!
