Pizza Sauce from Scratch

Last night I was in the middle of making some homemade pizza only to realize my pizza sauce had gone bad. Well, sometimes you just have to work with what you’ve got! So I decided to throw together my own.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 Roma tomatoes

1/4 cup water

1 1/2 tsp olive oil

1 tbsp sugar

3/4 tsp white vinegar

1 1/2 tsp garlic salt or 1 tsp minced garlic

add additional seasonings as you wish


 
  1. Cut tomatoes into smaller chunks.

  2. Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until it gets to a consistency you like.

**If you want a little thicker sauce, you can add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste as well. I used canned diced tomatoes and tomato paste and it turned out pretty good for consistency.
